What is your bio / story? I bring high-energy and an engaging work-style that helps individuals and brands tell their story. I serve as a WNBA Event Emcee and Global Brand Marketer. I obtained an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Economics, with a focus in Sales and Marketing, from Purdue University. I possess the "gift of gab" as I leverage storytelling and strategic communication to run my business, The Speaking Company, where we facilitate Public Speaking Classes and my contributions to Brand Marketing. I believe in myself and am able to foster an environment of growth and inclusion to those around me. I enjoy exploring different marketing functions such as strategic advertising and product development. I am on a mission to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all communities I am a part of, with hopes to live in a more balanced world. VeeCon 2023 was an exhilarating and ground-breaking event that left a lasting impact on myself.
As one of the most highly anticipated conferences of the year, VeeCon brought together visionaries, innovators, and industry experts from around the globe. The conference served as a platform for showcasing the latest advancements in virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future. The event fostered networking opportunities, nurturing collaborations and sparking new ideas among the brightest minds in technology.
Why do you feel diversity & inclusion is important to the future of web3 and the blockchain? Diversity and inclusion play a crucial role in shaping the future of Web3. As the decentralized web continues to evolve, it is essential to ensure that the technology and its underlying systems are accessible, representative, and equitable for all. Diverse perspectives aim to create a more inclusive and decentralized digital ecosystem. By embracing diversity, we invite a wide range of perspectives, experiences, and ideas. This diversity of thought fosters innovation, as it enables us to challenge existing norms and develop solutions that cater to the needs of a broader audience. User-Centric Design is another reason that Web3 technology should be designed with the user in mind. By including diverse voices in the development process, we can ensure that the resulting platforms, applications, and services are accessible and usable by all people.
Who or what inspires you to be the best version of yourself? The ability to impact people is what empowers me to be the best version of of myself.
I am always thinking about service and ways that I can add value to other people to make their lives better.
What project(s) are you working on that you would like to tell everyone about? Currently, I am working on a public speaking platform that empowers people to use their voices to communicate with purpose in real life and through virtual platforms.
