COMMUNITY PROFILE: Lunden King

What is your bio / story?

I started drawing and painting at 12 years old. I’ve had a deep passion for art, and have been drawing and painting ever since. I began taking my art more seriously in college while studying Human Development at Indiana University. Since then, I have been featured in art shows in multiple cities in Indiana. I enjoy viewing and discussing art with other artists in all mediums, whether it be physical, digital, or sculpting.

I especially hope to encourage young African American men to take more interest in the arts. I believe it's both crucial to art, and to the African American community.

Why do you feel diversity & inclusion is important to the future of web3 and the blockchain?

Diversity and inclusion in Web3 and the blockchain is important because a lot of these tech programs and systems require a creative mind behind them to function, and to stay up to date to change.

You don’t get get maximum creativity without diversity, inclusion, and different perspectives.

I am currently working on a 1/1 NFT collection that features both digital and physical art, that will be released on the Ethereum blockchain. I am also pushing to integrate Web3 into a few art museums and councils in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana.
